Kyle Kirkwood led this session last year. However, pole would go to Team Penske driver Scott McLaughlin. Defending champion Alex Palou was the race winner, before going on to absolutely destroy the field across the 2025 season.

At the end of Friday it was a perfect start for Scott McLaughlin who was fastest. Rosenqvist, Kirkwood, Simpson and Ericsson were all within the same tenth as the Kiwi. Newgarden, Dixon and Foster crashed.
